Welcome Back West Carleton Hockey Families!
Please read this entire article carefully as it contains very important information about the upcoming hockey season as well as how to OFFICIALLY register your child…Yes, that is right, final registration is officially open!
RETURN TO PLAY:
On July 16th we entered Stage 4 of our Return to Hockey Framework. This stage involves the introduction of a traditional hockey program as we once knew it:
Teams can be assembled
5-vs-5 hockey returns
Body contact/checking allowed at appropriate levels
GAMES & Inter-branch play
Tournaments will be permitted.
With this, we are planning a REGULAR hockey season! We are keeping in close contact and receiving updates from the Health Units, HEO and Hockey Canada and will inform everyone of the COVID protocols that will be put in place at the start of the season (number of people allowed in arena, masks, hand sanitizing, etc.)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER:
Hockey Canada is strict about playing in your own neighborhood. Please check to ensure you are registering with the right association using the HEO Minor Address Lookup Tool: http://maps.heominor.ca
As of June 1st, 2021, HCR 3.0 is Hockey Canada’s universal platform for managing all Hockey Canada participant registration. Please note that all legacy platforms (HCR 2.0; HCR Online Registration; and eHockey) have now been discontinued, with all data & service offerings now available via HCR 3.0. Due to this change, parents of existing players must create a new account in the HCR 3.0 portal.
***This must be done before registering with WCMHA. If you have already created a new account by registering your child’s intent ($25) then you are good to proceed with full registration.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS WHEN REGISTERING:
Complete the $25 intent registration process prior to registering in full.
Use the following link to complete to create a new account.
For full intent registration steps - click the Pre-Registration link at the top of the page.
If you have already completed the $25 intent – please go ahead and complete the full registration process selecting your sub categories.
Check your spam / junk folders for any emails or authenticator codes you are expecting while registering.
Once your account is set up, you may register with WCMHA by following https://page.hockeycanada.ca/page/hc/heo/district-4/west-carleton
